Fundraising for the Tsunami victims to be contributed in the second anniversary of the event on December 26th, 2006.

We are planning to raise $50,000 for a school in Sri Lanka with the Reconnections Rotary Club in Galle, Sri Lanka.  

The school is the Anula Devi Balika Vidyala in Magalle, Galle, Sri Lanka.  It was ravaged by the Tsunami.  Although it was not completely destroyed, their are now significant hazards from industrial sites nearby.  The school services thousands of very poor to low income families.

We plan to hold a major fundraiser and we are looking for other clubs and major donors to help us raise money for this project.

To be sure that this significant amount of funds will be used properly and as intended, we are also working with the local branch of Ernst & Young and the Medford Rogue Rotary Club of Medford, OR. 

The project is currently still being planned.  One of our original task force leaders has been unable to help due to medical problems, so we are looking for more help.  Please let us know if you can help us!
