Last year, Africa hosted its first-ever Soccer World Cup. In South Africa. The event had a substantial impact on the nation’s visibility in the world –not just the world of soccer-, changed society as evidenced by a free-falling crime rate and boosted the South African economy. Where does the country stand a year later?
