Dear All,
As you may have noticed, we have August 3rd noted on our club calendar foran Area 7 Social. All the Manhattan Rotary Clubs (Metro, Wall Street,Chinatown, New York, Inwood, and Harlem) are invited to a multi-clubsocial on Wednesday, August3.
It is a great opportunity for fellowship and fun, and to meet some of the member from other Rotary Clubs in the district.
Harlem Club is arranging a fantastic evening for us: Amateur Night at the
fabled Apollo Club, and then dinner and drinks afterward at the new Harlem hot spot, Marcus Samuellson's Red Rooster.
Amateur Night at the Apollo "is a big, loud party where brave contestants might be cheered or boo-ed. Every week brings a brand-new lineup of contestants and surprise special guests. There are also upcoming theme
nights that highlight talent from Brooklyn and Broadway.
Who will be the next Apollo legend? Who will win the $10,000 grand prize?
At Amateur Night, you tell the performers to be good or be gone!"
