Dear fellow Rotarians and Friends,
We would like to invite you to join us for our next big event :
MARCHING IN THE STEUBEN PARADE
SEPTEMBER 25
5th Ave 67th to 86th St, noon
Parade ends at the OKTOBERFEST CELEBRATION in CENTRAL PARK
New York´s most colorful parade brings together hundreds of marching groups from all over the United States and Germany.
While the Steuben Parade is celebrating German-American heritage and culture, it is not just an event for German-Americans but rather a wonderful opportunity to enjoy and participate in a great parade while making the public aware of Rotary , our Clubs and our work in the community as well as internationally.
We are given the wonderful opportunity to march as a united "Rotary team" as a part of the "Metropolitan Division" or "6th Division". All groups in that division assemble on 68th Str. between Park & Lex. Ave at 12 noon.
The Division Marshal is Mr. Fred Volk, who will meet you and get you in the correct spot, which - in our case - will be following some German Language and other mostly young cultural groups as well as a group of Jewish German-Americans. Our group will be directly followed by a float sponsored by the German Consulate hosting singer Melina, known for her performance in recent years.
There is no cost to march in the parade & no special dress code. Please feel free to bring your family and friends to join us.
The Steuben Parade ends with a huge Oktoberfest in the Summer Stage area of Central Park.
For more information about the Steuben Parade weekend including the Gala Benefit Banquet on Friday and many more events, please refer to:

Let´s celebrate & have a great time together! See you on 68street at noon!
