On May 12, Joy Wallace from Habitat for Humanity International will be speaking about the organization as well as her newest project which is coming up in July to build houses in Thailand. The international team will be reaching out to form lasting relationships with the communities they enter through constructing houses alongside the Thai people.
Habitat for Humanity International is a global non-profit, non-denominational Christian housing ministry. Habitat’s goal is to build simple, sufficient and affordable housing for those who lack adequate shelter. What makes Habitat unique is that houses are sold through a no-profit mortgage. Individuals, corporations, faith groups and others provide the financial support to make this happen. In turn, homeowners and volunteers build the houses together.
