Rotary Club of Metro NYC is excited to offer our members and guests a diverse experience of Rotary fellowship. Each month, there are four monthly meetings and at least one volunteer service opportunity. Please check our calendar to see what opportunities are in store for you.
Twice a month, RCMNYC meets for formal dinner meetings at Playwright Tavern. Each meeting, we engage a speaker from non-profit, professional, creative, or entrepreneurial fields, who shares their experiences and helps to broaden our understanding of a particular issue or industry.
In addition, our Times Square location means that our club frequently enjoys visits from Rotarians from all over the world. Check out our map showing club banners exchanged.
We meet at 7:30pm on 2nd and 4th Wednesdays. The Playwright Tavern is located at 202 West 49th Street, Third Floor The meeting fee of $35 includes a three course dinner. All are welcome at the meeting, no invitation needed. To reserve your place at the table, please email RSVP@rotarymetronyc.org two days (or earlier) before the meeting date.
On the third Wednesday of every month, our club has a social meeting. Starting earlier, at 6:30pm, we meet in a midtown bar/restaurant, to enjoy fellowship, and giving our members and guests a chance to get to know each other and learn more about RCMNYC. No RSVP or meeting fee needed. A host from the club will be waiting with our Rotary sign to greet you! Please see our calendar for exact locations; venue may vary each month.
RCMNYC took the Fireside Chat meeting format and ran with it! Each month our club has an outing, hosted by a club member, that explores NYC. Our members have been at the Stock Exchange closing bell, visited the LES Tenement, Subway, and Metropolitan Museums. We have played tennis, danced to Haitian Kompa, attended the Philharmonic, and much more. While typically a weekend activity, time, date, and cost can vary for these meetings.
Our club volunteers at least once a month at a number of places in NYC. Please see our volunteer page to see the options available to practice Service Above Self.
